Tandem Bikes
When Tim Patterson joined the Cycology team he brought with him his love of tandem bicycling. His first tandem was purchased so his eight-year-old daughter could join him and his wife on their rides. They fell in love with the sport and rode all the time. When their daughter went off to college Sharon took her spot as stoker and the miles and rallies continue to rack up. Tim and Sharon are also directors of The Tennessee Tandem Rally. The rally draws teams into Blount County from 22 different states. It’s a social event over four days that takes tandem teams on the best routes in the area.
Tim’s not the only tandem lover at the shop, Dave and Woody caught the bug too. We stock several models and usually have a demo bike or two around for test rides. No experience necessary, we’ll take you and your partner through a quick tutorial and etiquette clinic, get your seats and pedals set up, let you practice a few times and your off on what could be the best ride you’ve ever had.
